Help Send a Child to Camp

With the help of your generous donations, we have helped hundreds of children attend Camp Thunderbird and other camps throughout the country. As a result, these children are building skills in many outdoor activities just as you did when you attended camp. They too are learning independence by living away from home, and learning to accept responsibilities. We believe very strongly that this experience is expanding their horizons, increasing their self-esteem and giving them a more positive sense of self-worth. For some children, it may even be helping them to see a brighter future for themselves and to approach that future with renewed optimism.

You have two choices when giving to The Camp Thunderbird Foundation: the Speedy and Honey Altman Memorial Fund ("S&H" Fund) and the Allen "Moe" Sigoloff Fund ("Moe" Fund). In both cases your money goes to support camp experiences for children who could not otherwise afford the experience.

As explained below, the two funds have a slightly different focus in how your donations are used.

Recipients & Amounts

• Allen Moe Sigoloff Fund (fee deducted) Tax Deductible Seventy percent of contributions to the "Moe” Fund will go toward financial assistance to families wishing to send their children to Camp Thunderbird. Thirty percent of contributions to the “Moe” Fund will go toward grants that support children attending 501(c)(3) charitable agency camps.
